Partly. What he means is this.
The AI will continue to use the AI BRIGADE as it does now, assigning them to Tactical Bombers, Naval Bombers, and Strategic Bombers.
The AI will use your new Escort Fighter Divisions (the former "Multi-Role" Fighters) as if they were Fighters, not as Escort Fighters. This means that they will tend to group them only with other "Escort" Fighters, not with the Bombers they would normally be assigned to. It would also build them (i.e., how many) thinking they are Multi-Role Fighters as well.

In essence your "mod" would "help" a human player, but might actually end up "hurting" an AI player.

Tha is definitely a good point. This is one of those hidden problems. This might be resolved I believe by having the techs activate the units from the "Multi_role" division file. I don't know if that file still works properly with the EXE, but it is there.

I believe there is a problem in the way the Japanese AI is written. It seems that its Phillipine invasion parameters supecede all the other AI instructions, such as those for the war with China. The JAPinvadePHI flag comes on, and remains on starting from day 1 1936. I am not sure how much impact this has on the other AI's for Japan, but shouldn't this AI be set so that it can only be triggered when Japan is at war with Japan, or USA.

Perhaps their is some trick to this I am not seeing. Is it set to go on at start, so that the first thing the Japanese do when at war with the Allies is invade Phillipines?

But if that is the case then all of the other "AI" for the China war that come before it will change the AI parameters, and then they will not be reset to JAPinvadesPHI, when war begins with the Allies, since the flag needs to be OFF, in order to be toggled ON.

Whenever I click the icon to play to play It says "Excel file not found" but sometimes the game wil get to the loading screen, but only the white laoding bar will be there and it will be stuck at "initializing graphics" and then the message will come up. What did i do wrong?

Did you overwrite files when requested?

On another topic the technologies are wrong for Persia (Iran) in the 1945 scenario. This is an old error not detected or corrected by CDCP/Arma 1.3
Persia has 5 technologies without the required prerequisites--they should have these added technologies to rectify the problem:
1110 Early Mountain Division
5090 Improved Construction
5190 Basic refining
2460 Early Static Anti-Air
2510 Basic Anti-Air

Why do you believe the flag is turned on day 1.

It needs to be either at war with Philippines or owning various PHI provinces but not controlling them. None of this is true at day 1 in 1936.

If Japan owns PHI provinces it means Japan Annexed PHI at one point and if they dont controll the same province, someone must has taken it from Japan.

I fixed it all. I overwrote evrything with a backup of all the armageddon files I had, then installed the patch again and it worked fine. Thanks so much for all your help and timely responses though!

Its my version that is screwed up. Must have been playing around at 3 o'clock in the morning and deleted things I should not have deleted.

Whoops, it looks like you did fix this and the mistake was in the adaptation for my mod. Never mind but please look at the dead Albanian minister I referred to in an earlier post and remove him and make consequential changes in Albania's inc file.
Essad Pacha died in 1920. Remove all instances of him.
Change foreign minister Albania 1945 to 32077.

Get in line. I am still waiting for them to remove Pierre Burton, a Canadian popular historian and 70's television personality as a possible Minister of Intelligence for Canada. Burton, was indeed an member of Canadian army intelligence during the war, making Captain by the time he left the army in 1945.

And so what is your criteria to remove him if he is still alive and plausible in alternate history? I normally only remove dead people or people who are too young, and otherwise only change ideologies. I imagine the patch team has the same philosophy.

The AI will continue to use escorts as escorts and the fighters (with the new stats) as fighters. These fighters will be weaker than a interceptor as they were effectively so they will loose any direct match. But these "new" fighters will be effective against other air units. What I miss here is the fact that one matter is the air attack against a bomber and another is the air attack against an interceptor. A heavy fighter was very effective against bombers because it could load more rounds, weapons and it could flight higher.
On the other hand a heavy fighter was not manoeuvrable like a single engine fighter but a single engine fighter was ineffective against heavy bombers.

He was 21 at the time. And never held a post in any government at any time in Canadian history. He is a TV show guy, who wrote a book call "the Last Spike" about the making of the Canadian Pacific railroad.

Also, there is another minster who was the Mayor of St. Johns Newfoundland, and was not even a Canadian until after the war.

Which qualifies him as a potential member of parliament... which qualifies him as a potential Minister of Intelligence... however remote that may be.....

Heck they made Dan Quayle the VP of the US... so anything is possible. :)
