I got the rejection email. Very nice of them to send a reply even if you didn't make it. Oh well, I'll just have to make the cut in August and impress them with my elite T35t|nG 5kIlzZ then.

i've no junk mail box, so i don't think this applies. i'm beginning to feel like a jilted paramour -- all i want is closure ...Originally posted by Bocaj
P.S. for all you guys who haven't got it, it goes to your junk mail box because it is triggered to give an email "yes" or "no" as soon as it is put in either list.![]()

hmmmm - NDA sent in - wonder how long till the fabled beta thread becomes viewable?
Put it this way... Anyone below 18 pretty much was rejected unless they had several people recommending them, because they need to get parents/guardian to sign etc.
Contracts signed are not legally binding for individuals under 18 in many locations. This means that if a 17 years old signed the NDA it might not be legally binding for the individual. Its easier to just make sure everyone is 18 than try to ensure that a minor's parents also signed the NDA properly.Originally posted by Sharur

Eh... why do recommendations change that? And for that matter, why do people under 18 need recommendations, but not those over? It's just as likely that someone over 18 will make a crummy tester as someone under 18.

Seriously, though, I think you should reconsider the decision to reject younger Beta applicants. Keep in mind that the younger demographic is where most of your potential expansion is- adults have a fairly good idea of what they like to play, but kids are more... pliable![]()
