Worldwide: Independent Australia, New Zealand, mega-large Punjab, and there are a bunch of revolters in China.

Who can find more weirdness?

I like :D

--edit: There's also Bosnia and Albania. Wonderful!! I look forward to redrawing the map of Europe as I see fit :D

Indeed - it looks quite fun and the graphics and interface look fantastic, but it does seem like it's going to need a lot of modding/expanding before it offers an even semi-plausible reflection of 19th century diplomacy.

:D It would be brilliantly suited in this current iteration to a more pulpy and tongue-in-cheek style though!

Russia is also destroying the brits in Canada?
This won't happen in the released game :) The arctic area used to be in the AI's eyes the best place to colonise, that has been fixed. Meanwhile GB has been given some tools to actually go for Canada :)

As I have already several times pointed out both in this thread and the AAR thread, what you see in the AAR is *NOT* the current iteration of the game. Please try to keep that in mind :)

Warfare, uniting a nation and the politics involved with that is the focus of my AAR. Those did work splendidly already when I played this AAR game :)

Constitutional Reforms are Events not Decisions?!?!
They are events which can happen only after you have made political reforms.

Also when Prussia became the NGF and then GER, did it maintain Prussian political Parties or adopt brand new ones attached to the new tag?
Each nation has their own parties. More parties become available with political movements, for example there are no Socialist parties before Socialism is activated.

Did Spain lose a war to Morocco, or did Spanish Morocco revolt away?
France and Morocco were allied and did beat Spain in war (the war right before I declared war on France and Austria).

How did you get a navy to beat the Danish one? Aren't you supposed to start with a few transports? Denmark had a big navy and you should start with nothing at all. I'm surprised.

I'm also astounded by this AAR. I mean you don't talk much about the specifics of the wars (the first one with Austria and then the second with France/Austria) but it seems like it is too easy. How can you pull off beating those without even breaking a sweat? This all seems too easy, I'm hoping the final version is a bit more challenging.

Denmark in 1836 had a small fleet still, rebuilding still after the Napoleonic war. However, the naval battle was won because the Prussian naval leader had +3 Attack (and also +20% organisation), while the Danish fleet had no leader at all (which gives -2 to Attack and Defense) -> Prussian fleet was effectively rolling with +5 and the Danish fleet with -5.

Even the crappiest leader is usually better than no leader, and stacks (be it an army or a fleet) with a good leaders vs no-leader stacks are killers :)

They had 3 Men of War and 7 frigates by 1830, while Prussia in reality had nothing.

Also, why is Wallachia and Moldavia on this?

Why is it that Germany got todays flag in he AAR, not the 'Reichs' flag? Is it because the AAR aimed for the North German Unification instead of the historical unification with an exsisting Prussia until the forming? What differences are there? Is it purely (graphical, ie. the flag) or does it as well have visible differences in the state setup?

One of the gazillion things that is fixed in the final game :) Perhaps you should not read beta-AARs, they seem to cause you too much stress :)

I've never had problems agaisnt AI armies in Paradox games. I like fights, and I like to figure out how to deal maximum pain with as little pain to myself as possible ;)

After Early Railroad and Medicine I focused on the military techs. Prussia has nice military tech at start, and gets a boost on researching military, so I had the technological advantage all the time.

Boosting Tactics and Organisation up was a priority. Tactics keeps the armies alive, and superior Organisation makes the army stick around without routing (in the big battle against the Austrians, my commander at the battle at first glance doesn't appear that great, but he had the +20% Organisation, which proved to be the deciding factor in that humongous battle :) ). Once the enemy was routed from battle, the Cavalry Guard (which I most of the time kept in reserve just because of this) gave chase, because hitting somebody at zero organisation on first day of battle makes the army surrender.

Nice to see a bit of Dynamism in how the world plays out. Although, Russia in China?! I hope they get revolts like you would not believe until China is restored.
:D

thats how it was in Victoria, you needed to mobilise and then put a 6+ stack in every province for the ten years of nationalism to stand a chance and youd never recover from it.
and V2 has even better rebels so it'll be awesome

I think it's because he caved to those damn liberals...
So instead of the invincible "DEUTSCHES KAISERREICH!", he got the republican flag.

The Kaiser will not be pleased!

Germany can be formed in at least three ways. One way is the historical (btw, NGF was a de facto nation, and thus the historical way on the way to the imperial Germany) to form imperial Germany, another way is to form it from the potential South German Federeation, and the third way is to accept the "Crown from the Gutter" when nationalists want to form a democratic Germany. In this AAR I was aiming for the first route, but as the nationalistic uprising took place, I took that way (after much pondering; going straight for democracy has its downsides and upsides).

Thus you do not see the imperial German flag, but the flag of the democratic Germany :)

EDIT:
I think it's because he caved to those damn liberals...
So instead of the "DEUTSCHES KAISERREICH!", he got a republic.

The Kaiser will not be pleased!

You got it right :)
