@Florryworry_ 's knowledge of the game and mechanics is God-tier, and he always has some tricks for sure.
If you want to see really really good micro of the game I would recommend @atwix
Marco and Gnostek push for (and hold) records and also have channels, if you want to see the game optimized even further. Really there's a number of people who can 1-tag easily enough now, it's more a matter of the style you are looking to watch.
Florryworry is the best balance between skill and genuine entertainment i find. Some other notable players are god tier at the game but a snooze fest to watch.
When I was first getting into the game, I watched quill18's Castile tutorial series and found it very useful to explain the basic game mechanics.
After a few hours of playing the game for myself, I started looking for tips and tricks like you say. Reman's Paradox and BudgetMonk 119 do very good tutorials, I think Reman's are the better of those two, but he doesn't produce as much content.
I learnt a lot from Florryworry's let's plays, and in my opinion, he is definitely the most entertaining of the Youtubers I've come across.

FlorryWorry is funny, as is Siu-King.
However, the emporer tier has to be MarcoAntonio - his vids are a bit more lo-fi and definitely low on humour - but in terms of ability, he's a league above.

I found this player TECA recently. He or she never gives commentary, so you need to have a good understanding of the game to appreciate the play.
WC's without tons of micro, plays on speed 4-5 most of the time. No exploits that I've noticed. Declares wars that look suicidal, usually has 5-7 coalition wars declared during a run and just keeps rolling.

There are some randoms with German commentary. They could be amazing, but nobody knows.
DDRJake's videos are both educational and hilarious, in a dark kind of way. I'd highly recommend.

I unsubbed DDR because he now works for the man, or maybe I didn't because I am lazy, but I haven't watched any of his newer content since he doesn't really break the game the same way anymore.

@RedBstrd is a very good player, though I will admit I usually just ask him for tips and advice rather than watch his videos for it

I would like to mention I find it amusing no one has mentioned Shenyyr.... mostly because I’ve always been rather repulsed by his personality and it seems that he might have lost some popularity... ok, done being cynical now.

Arumba is who I watched when I was starting
Arumba was how I managed to break into this wonderful game (that has totally not consumed my life since I discovered it that summer of '14) so I still watch most of the stuff though by now it's purely for the entertainment as opposed to for educational purposes. Will catch DDRJake's stuff from time to time as well, and when Quill does stuff.
In principle, an LPer could do editing.
Though that would be an ironic comment coming from me.
