So, as the Byzantines, I'm often presented with a situation where I only want to raise specific vassal's levies. For example, a holy war against a minor muslim state, or a rebellion. Whatever. Now, as far as I can tell, there's 3 ways to specifically raise the levies of a specific area/vassal:
- Manually select each location that you want to raise levies.
- Raise the entire realm's levies, and then immediately stand down the ones you don't want (just click and drag judiciously)
- Go the military screen, scroll through your vassals, and pick the one you need to raise armies for. In theory, this should be the best one. But when you have dozens upon dozens of vassals, and you're more concerned with their location than anything else, it's not that useful. You have to go back and forth; "Ok, Alexios is duke of Antioch, so I'll go find him." "Now, who's next? Mesopotamia, thats Andronikos, go find him" and on.

Is there another way that I've missed? I'd love to be able to just select a duchy and raise all their levies right from that screen. Am I blind? If not, then please, P'dox, could this button be added in a patch (or XP...)

How does the vavassal system?

3 could be made easier if you were able to levy from your direct vassals who levy from their vassals. You would have to concern over dukes only.

Maybe reorganizing the hierarchy structure and end with a Sengoku like system.

Yes, I believe you can raise levies for a particular county/barony from the appropriate information window for it.

Where? I've looked over the character screens and title screens, but haven't seen any levy button.

Yeah, just click the county and raise.

Alternatively, RAISE THEM ALL AHAHAHAHAHA and disband the ones you don't need at the moment.

Just click on a county and you'll see the raise levy button on the information screen for it. If you click on a specific barony (where you build stuff), you can raise the levies for that specific town/castle/church.

Right-click on the little picture of the castle, town, or church and three round buttons will pop up, one to raise the levy, one to raise ships, and one to disband the levy (I think).

I think I must have not made myself clear: I know how to raise levies on a county and barony level. I want to raise them on a duchy level. I can do so from the military screen, but I'd like to be able to do so from the duchy screen (or the duke/duchess screen).
