Well, sometimes I don't want a province to be part of my nation just yet or at all. ATM I am playing France in the 1419 scenario. By 1470 I was at war with Burgundy and wanted to sue for peace getting Luxemburg and Flanders from them (both to release) + Artois for myself.

Now, because of all the messages I clicked once to many and accepted a peace in which I got Luxemburg, Artois and Piedmont. Savoy is an independent nation so I can't create it. I have a corridor to Piedmont through Provence. But I don't want that province just yet. How to get rid of it?

Either you can hope for a war against Savoy (or any other nation in that area) and give the province away in a peace deal. The good thing with this is that you will lose 1 BB. Also since Savoy has a core on this province (I think), you can give it away before they have captured it.

Or you can hope for a revolt in Piedmont. IIRC it takes 36 months for it to change ownership once it is rebel controlled.

Take any troops from the province and wait for it to revolt. It will go back to Savoy without any hiccups.

I had some hope there were ways I didn't knew about, or ways new to FTG.
RR didn't do the trick unfortunately as these buggers just didn't want to revolt.

It would have been very useful for when Spain decides to conquer Vitebsk or the Ottoman Empire ends up in Finland...

Perhaps they did it because of the Ai, which doesn't know how to use this feature. In Viki it didn't knew how to exchange provinces. IMO it was wise decision.

It would still be a nice option for the players only.

Actually the best idea would be to create a player-only diplomatic option through which the player can award a non-national province to another state.

And why would AI accept a poisonous gift? In this case, only primary/accepted culture or cores should be accepted by AI.

Oh, place any necessary requirements you want. Even the necessity of having a common border with the province in question. But the option should be there.

I think that FtG misses the "hard" features. It has cool options, but most of them can be obtained only through the event system. If there are no events for it, you won't ever see the feature. It's dissapointing to see the same diplomatic actions, the same building, even the same research system...

At least in FTG/EU2 you can hope for rebels to take over an unwanted province and have it defect but the "sell province" option in EU3 is far superior.

If you decide to include it in FTG I don't think you should hardcode it so that only bordering province with same culture or core is accepted but it should be a lot easier - or be possible to demand more money - if it was. For instance in EU3 I remember a long war I (France) and my allies (Cornwall and Wales) had against an English led alliance. This ended in us receiving a good peace offer that I accepted but in that offer my allies got nothing so I sold them some former English colonies I didn't want for 0 ducats. That felt like something that might have happened in real history (for example Sweden got St Barths as a colony after being junior partner in an alliance against France without actually have been the one that occupied that particular colony).

Yes, thats sounds like a good outcome/feature.

Indeed. If this little future would be implemented it would seriously enhance the game. At least for my type of play that is.
