Best tutorial Youtube series

I'm thinking about getting back into CK2 after a few years. Frankly I only played a bit the first go round. Is Arumba's big tutorial series the best option? or is it dated? or is there a newer better series out there?

Don't tell me to just go play it and figure it out. I'm an old person with a job and kids... I don't have time for crazy ideas like that.

Just binge watch all of arumba's videos. The holy warfare is a good one to watch from mathas's perspective as it shows how to rule a large empire. Watch his more recent videos if you have the dlc but don't really know their features.

Arumba's old tutorial is starting to show its age, but it's basically the only one that doesn't date back even further. Relatively, not a ton has changed since the days of old and with the new custom game rules you can make things easier or harder on yourself. Depending on how long you've shelved CK2, I'd honestly just tell you to go with an easy beginner's start like Tuscany or other duchy in 1066 and roll with it rather than watching an old tutorial.

Especially if you've played before, I'd say just watch gameplay videos rather than tutorials per se. You'll soon see how most of the new features are used in practice. A really good way to do this might be to watch the first few videos of a playlist for each patch, as youtubers often explain what's new in the first video and like to focus on those mechanics early.

You dont say if you have all the DLC or not, but if you have most of the DLC, especially like Conclave or something like that that adds new mechanics, your best bet would be to just watch a series where someone is playing with that DLC. A guy named Ghostfeet on Youtube has a good one where he played Scotland with Conclave. He's pretty good at explaining things & why he is doing it.
