Best Paradox Release ever

Paradox really got their shit together for this release. I have never played a paradox game that was this polished on release before.

Seriously awesome job; pulled an all nighter last night on this game, and I am hurting today, but it was worth it. Best game I have played in a long time!

Ummm a DEMO is not a full release an I've played demos that were really polished and well met and the full game was full of bugs and CTD's so best save that line for the real full game instead of the DEMO.

Have a little faith baby! No other company makes historical simulations as good as Paradox. I love this game. I loved the first Crusader Kings, and this game is 10 times better, it has everything.

Lol you obviously haven't followed Paradox's past releases then. While they make good historical WHATIF's games I'd hardly call any of them historical "simulations". A simulation would follow the course of history.....no Paradox game does.

yeah, well maybe for you History Professors maybe it is isn't historical enough, but for guys like me whom history is just an interest it seems like historical simulation. Either way you get my point.

Oh yeah and I'm on your side too. I hate historical simulations. It's just that you made the statement that they were and I've never seen that they were. I love whatif's, always have always will. I don't see the point of playing something that turns out the same everytime you play it or plays along the same lines as history.

But, the origional point was the stability of the DEMO vs the full release. I'm still skeptical because Paradox has always failed in the full release deal on every game starting with HOI. Too many bugs, too many flaws and too many CTD's. It was funny in HOI III when Japan was invading lower France or Finland. I liked it but you should have seen the uproar on the forum about it. lol

The game is just incredible, really it is just so fluid. I mean, you can prod and plan for years for a certain son to inherit, and then everything goes to hell a minute later, or perhaps the reverse happens, and you suddenly find your self the heir to a powerful duchy or even kingdom. I love the randomness, no 2 games are ever the same.

I mean, you can prod and plan for years for a certain son to inherit, and then everything goes to hell a minute later, or perhaps the reverse happens, and you suddenly find your self the heir to a powerful duchy or even kingdom. I love the randomness, no 2 games are ever the same.

Yep just like the origional in many ways. Very random and fun to play for countless hours on end, drink wine out of a fake jeweled goblet and eating lil smokies or hotlinks.

I couldn't agree more. I've been playin for a couple days and my dynasty of lowly counts went from one county to 6 duchies and a kingdom with 40+ living family members, all plotting against one another. And all that in a hundred years.

A fantastic game, a veritable masterpiece.

Yes, and it will be even better. That was the whole reason the wanted to use steam for the release, so that patches could be released sooner.
