Just reached 1510 as Sweden and curious as to what other nations you guys played as. Thinking I should hit up Ming or Japan. Any ideas?

Also is it just me or is Constitutional Republic the only thing better than Noble Republic? +20% Production efficiency and +10% tax seems far better than the -20% stability reduction of Bureaucratic Despotism.

Seriously guys there are like two days left. Although I can't really take the moral high ground since I myself tried to mod in other nations for a little before I gave up and just decided to wait.

I'd be interested to see if you can do any unifications (obviously not including Spain) in the demo. Italy seems quite doable since a few people have almost done it with Venice - maybe give it a shot with Milan or Tuscany. Might even be able to do Germany with Brandenburg, given how easy expansion in the HRE looks.

I actually wouldn't do Ming or Japan since if you enable them through tag switch you won't be able to access their unique features. Although if you manage to mod them open then I guess go for it.

I really think you should stop to play the demo, now. Personnally, I did 3 games with normal nations, one game with Oman, and I stopped. Why ? Because I don't want to waste the pleasure I'll have in 3 days, when I'll discover the full version of the game.

How did you even play as the other nations in this?
Less than a dozen lines of editing (two if you don't care for proper unit and country colors)

I couldn't annex Castile before they formed Spain as I was too busy finishing off the last of the Barbary states. It really depends on if they enabled the tags for them otherwise the game will fail when you switch.

I tried Oman and they were pretty interesting. Easy enough to expand and you make some serious money from trading. A fun country for multiplayer too I think.

Japan also seems a lot easier to play as, just make sure you watch your expansion. Expanding too fast and your pretty much screwed with everyone ganging up on you and the emperor trying to annex/integrate you.

Rebels are worst as they have the same tech as you. I can fight off 33k of French soldiers with two Napoleonic Squires but I can't fight the Noble rebels without 2:1 odds

I played Ak Konyulu and Uesugi With the Uesugi was able to conquer 2 provinces, but money is a b*tch you have litte income and advisers and maintenance can eat that up quick. Ak Konyulu was able to form Persia quickly, only needed 2 provinces and it ended, but being a horde nation in a largely mountainous area didn't do wonders when I had to fight the Mamlukes.
