Florence is a blast, and relatively easy.

Simple question which nation is best to to form italy.

Florence, you get massive boost for being home of the renessaince and you expand pretty easily because you can ally france and hungary in no time. You will get few penalties when papal states excomunicate you and when you conquer rome. I played with florence and formed italy, even got some colonies in africa, south america and canada.

you aware that florance is not guaranteed to have renassaince and it can spawn in any land inside italy region?(even aragon can have it if lucky)

I cant see ANY reason to play as florance! Pope hates you, bad expansion routes since opms can join trade leagues, low devolpment compared to venice, papal state,milan,savoy and naples, no flavor

on the other hand milan, venice and naples has very cool flavor that adding more power + fun into game.

Ofcourse it can spawn anywhere but for me almost every time it spawns in florence, for me expansion is amazing, you can expand into Ferrara, Genoa, Siena, Papal States, Lucca... Forming Tuscany along the way has flavor and its not that hard. In the other hand i dont want to play around ottomans as venice and i dont want to try break free from aragon as naples. Milan is just boring for me. I got mine achievement pretty easily with florence and who knows how much would i expand if my game didnt crash everytime.
