Krk, smrt, vrt, krv, crv, dang there are many words in Serbo-Croato-Bosno-Montenegrin which have a syllable-constructing R.Speaking of vowels, there are few english words without them: church, girl, burn, learn, turn... The "r" acts like one, just like in croatian.
Every Slavic language has one key word, usually an alcoholic drink! :rofl:Man, I was thinking of learning a Slavic language (probably Polish) but this thread has convinced me I would have no idea how to say anything. I'll just stick with Latvian, I already know some of that.![]()
Not to mention that Serbo-Croato-Bosno-Montenegrin has a whopping 7 cases!Learning any slavic language is probably one of the worst ideas out there. While I have no idea about the rest in bulgarian there is practically no rule for the plural form of the words (or at least I have yet to find one) .. and the kicker is - every word has 2 plural forms (dont ask) so you pretty much have to memorize every single plural form out there ... x2.
I'd go for rakia, pretty sure every south-slavic country out there has it as a main alcoholic beverage.Every Slavic language has one key word, usually an alcoholic drink!
For Russian, it's vodka! For Serbian, it's rakia!![]()
Živili! (cheers!)I'd go for rakia, pretty sure every south-slavic country out there has it as a main alcoholic beverage.
...Bosno-Montenegrin...
LOL
We should name the Pan-Slavic country Russia, in honor of modern Russia, the only country in the world with a feudal system today! Come to think of it, it's more feudal than CK2 realms...
Anyway, on the serious note, what would be a Slavic equivalent to Emperor/Tsar? I mean the one that hasn't derived from Latin?

I've done it! Now I didn't mean to get that big but my vessels keep calling slavic holy wars and taking areas over, that's how we took Germany and Cumania. Oh well serves the catholics right for calling two crusades on me!. Due to the way I expanded I ended putting Russians rulers in place as conquered new areas, so Bulgarians and Serbians have been assimilated while Czech, Polish and Croatian dialects are endangered. Though this doesn't bug me much because during this in real life there wasn't much difference between them, now I do feel bad for Baltic people thought.
Guess a unified France should be called Gallia, then.
I'd vote for Knyaz. It comes from a proto-Germanic word and actually means "Prince", but it's probably the best choice as I cannot find any titles from native Slavic words.LOL

There is no native word for empire, only car (tsar). Knyaz (or knez) is duke. It could mean prince, but as a head of principality, not as son of a ruler (which is actualy "princ").I'd vote for Knyaz. Perhaps if history had happened differently that would be the name. There was a time when both terms, francia (which became france) and Gallia coexisted in spoke & written language.Guess a unified France should be called Gallia, then.

The Into Space Empire
Poland may not have been able to into space on its own, but now with all the other Slavs they combine their stronk powers and into space.
