I would disagree, Slavic languages in the 10th century were dialects of each other. Old church Slavic was mutual intelligible with every Slavic dialect of that time. So thus if the they still had a common language they would thus still have a name for "land of the Slavs" or "land ruled by the slavs."

Works if this hypothetical empire covers the area of OTL!Yugoslavia, and maybe MAYBE Bulgaria. It works significantly less well when you add Poles and Bohemians and Russians.
What's the Slavic translation of Latin Omni?

Using Jugoslavia as a template, why not call it "Great Slavia" in stead of "South Slavia"?

I'm no slavic speaker, but "Great Moravia" in Serbian/Croatian uses the word veliko for great, so Velikoslavia? ;)

Could work, but I think Slavia would be just enough :). I'm also thinking to do a game like this when I realized game lacks name for unified Slavic country.
I plan to do it religious based, where the 1st ruler is like a prophet, voice of Perun, that unifies Slavs, and other after him take on to conquer and spread religion muslim like :).

I'd say it should depend on the culture of the character creating such an empire. So stop arguing which language it should be in as most of you are biased in favour of your own version. Just a joke here: Cyrillic aren't even letters this goes to show that those countries are full of weirdos and should be disqualified from further discussion :D See, see what I did there :p I'd personally go for either: 'Imperium Słowian' or 'Słowiańska Kraina'. If I had to compromise I'd go for 'Slavia'.

There should be an achievement for uniting all Slavic nations.
Slav Stronk?
In Soviet Slavia?
It would be great if there was a titular Slavia empire in vanilla, requiring you to hold Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Bohemia, Poland, Pomerania, Ruthenia (ungh), and Rus.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, Russkaya Pravda is one of the easiest achievements ever. It is a remnant from the first version where Ruthenia and Rus were one kingdom, so it would be much better if the achievement was changed to the formation of e_russia.
Also, renaming Rus to Novgorod and Ruthenia to Kiev would remove the problem of having two Russias. :D

Velikoslavia is good. "Veliko" is also "Great" in Bulgarian and I think Russian. The poles, I assume, have some other weird word with z's and j's, and six consonants in a row.

Slovensko Tsarstvo perhaps?

Also good.

I always thought it was Croats who hate vowels :) Seriously, they have an island named "Krk"

Veliko in Polish is just "Wielki" (or "Wielka"/"Wielkie", depending on a gender)

Yep, Derjava sounds ridiculous, especially for united slavic people.
No, it doesn't. In Russian language, for example, we have such collocations as "velikaya derjava" (great power), "sverhderjava" (superpower), "yadernaya derjava" (nuclear-weapon state). So, "derjava" has connotation with a powerful state.

What do you guys think, is there gonna be a Slavic facepack after all? Or should Russian facepack be used for all Slavs? Personally, I think its rather decent. It has 5 normal hairstyles and almost all beards are fine too. The gear isn't made with enough love, though. And women sometimes are kinda not really that Slavic looking. Still better than default european facepack. It does have unique flavour.

Maybe someone is able to mod one? Based on something like that:

Well, Serbian and Croatian word for death is "smrt". And Slovenian word for garden is "vrt". But it's actually read as 'smert' and 'vert'; I dunno why they are doing this.

Problem would be that south Slavs look different from their Russian counterparts. I mean we did a lot of mixing with local populations then, and tend to have a darker complexity. I presume the same goes for Slavs on the west (not the dark complexity but mixing up with other populus).

P.S. We don't add "e" to smrt and vrt

We just read it like smrt and vrt :p

Because R in Serbocroatian can serve same as vowel. For example Serbian language is Srpski jezik on Serbian, where R serve as a vowel. I dont know any longer word with less vowels :). And Smert is old word from old slavic, modern words are Smrt and Vrt with no vowels, again R serving as substitute.
