I see a lot of them on the steam workshop page, but what is the best pre-made roundabout for entering and exiting your city on both sides of the road? Something I don't have to fiddle with too much cause I'm a brainlet and can't do it myself.

A simple oval that dips under your highway is easy, effective and looks pretty good. Pre mades often conflict with terrain and cannot be placed so I made it a point to learn how to make them manually. Here is a simple instruction:

The first is learn how to make a 90 degree arc. Select the basic 2 lane road (upgrade to other road types after its all placed) and use the curved road tool. Select the start point then extend the tool 5 units (any amount works, 5 makes a good size for general use) click and move 5 units at a 90 degree angle. If you have snapping on you don't need to fiddle with this, it'll give you a clean right angle no problem. You can connect 4 of these to make a perfect circle. Additionally the start points of each 90 degree arc will provide a clean connection point for any road that will have a snap point going directly out from the circle. This is useful for many designs but its very useful for highway connections.

The above trick is the first step to making a simple and clean highway connection. Make a half circle near your highway with the open end pointing at your highway. Draw straight roads towards the highway and put them under the highway. On the other side make another half circle to connect them up. From there just connect on and off ramps between the highway and the straight portion of your oval.

Here is an example I just threw together.

I do the same thing but i use 2 pre-made roundabouts connected either side of the freeway as guideline, cut them almost in half and then connect them the same way under the freeway. I tend to fill the roundabout space with parks or trees. This has been the most effective solution for me while trying to keep it looking nice'ish. It also acts as a place that allows traffic to turn around on the freeway. A fair amount of traffic only uses the roundabout to jump to the other side of the freeway rather then actually go into that part of the city.

I find my roundabouts always get clogged so i add bypasses as needed!

What you are doing is creating extra entrances and exits to your highway. If you were to do so but spread them out more you'd get a better effect. Highways allow fast speeds so cars will ride them as far as they can if they can get off the highway closer to their destination.

What i am doing sir, is creating Utopia! Here is a bigger picture of my paradisaical roundabout system:

In seriousness the traffic usually flows but i just ripped out the public transport systems in preparation for a major overhaul.

I am aware its a complete cluster fuck of roads but i enjoy making my cities as cramped as possible and making rickshaw road systems that somehow keep the traffic flowing. I also use a mod that increases the amount of people that live in the highrises.
