Best faction to join ?

I want to start a world conquest, or atleast a europe conquest, and i wondered which faction is the best to join first? im sure that changing faction after certain events/war will be needed, and i need you guys to help me! Thankyou

Sorry for not addressing this, actually im not making this question to be that specific (that i could use in future game). But because you asked, currently im playing as Romania (1941), facist, conquered hungary, yugoslav, greece, turkey, and iraq. German has conquered France, and now in a war with soviet, also the pacific war has begun. The game is historical focus and the only rule i change is "guarantee to same ideology only".

i could make one, but the only member will be me, my puppets, and potentially spain. And isn't it going to make me harder to fight against the 3 major factions if i want to conquer them?

When I did the neither death nor dishonor achievement, I first did as you (Balkan dominance) held out against USSR, waited for Germany to attack them. Joined Axis. Did not join against allies. After fall of USSR I left the Axis, joined Allies (this is now even simpler as Romania) declared war on Germany.

So for Balkan Dominance Romania, I would say Axis->Allies->own faction.

ThaHoward how did you manage to fight german in late game? Mine is 1943, after defeating soviet, german became gigantic after taking the northern part. While i puppet soviet and gave them the southern part. I leave the axis, even if i join the allies im sure i cant fight germany alone on land. I have very small air force compared to german, moreover their teritorry reach the most north-east russia. So what is the best way to defeat german?

Also should i join the allies faction or is it enough to just fight on their side?

If you know the game well enough and start with a country with potential you can conquer anyone and everyone you meet as the AI is mostly useless
