I usually buy PI games for download. It is much easier for me (having a good broadband connection) and I never have to worry about the dog eating the CD or my "manual" going missing when I just need something. The box is always hidden away in storage.

And if me downloading can help make more money for PI, then so much the better. They are by far my favorite developer, as I pretty much like all the games they make.

But I guess everybody is different. Some like downloads, some like CDs. Any which way you buy it, you will be helping out PI, which is a good thing.

Er, how would you do that? You mean manually go in and change files or is there a German set of files (or whatever language) hidden away in the game?

I prefer physical distribution. Because if I buy online I'll want to print the manual and printing a colorful game manual tends to burn through a printer cartridge in a hurry. And a laser printer cartridge costs more than the actual game itself. Been there, done that. So I prefer the actual hard copy for the printed manual.

That's why you put the file on a flash drive or email it to your work address and burn a copy off there. :)

I like GG... as long as I remember my password, my games are always there.
With a hardcopy on the other hand, if my daughter takes my CD and uses it for a frisbee or decides to make it prettier by gluing macaroni to it, I have to buy the game again.

and GG > Steam as far as I'm concerned. I don't like having to have that Steam interface loaded up all the time.

EU3 includes multiple translations; you just need to change the language the settings.txt file. The base game includes many languages, the NA expansion is only in English, French, and German, and the IN expansion is only in English and German (although Spanish has been added in the current public beta patch).
