I''m playing through as the USA right now, started in 1941 with Normal/Aggressive. Right now it's 1943, the allies have conquered Africa, and I have just finished my conquest of Italy and most of France. The Germans are crushing the Soviets, and the Japanese have been stopped after taking the Philippines, Indonesia, all of China, and most of Northern India. The Japanese haven't tried any thing in the Pacific besides a few failed attacks on Wake, which has become my main base of operation in the Pacific.

Right now, it seems that my armies in Europe are grinding to a halt, which wouldn't usually be a problem, only there's the fact that if I don't finish my campaign soon, the Germans will have crushed the Soviets, and will return with a much larger force than I can handle.

What's the best course of action here?

-My army is mostly composed of Mechs and Motors, with some Marines and Infantry in reserve. I've largely ignored the war in the Pacific, and my navy is still much larger than any other nations, though I have spent a good amount of time building a large force of Carriers and light carriers.

-The rest of the Allies haven't bothered at all in Europe, instead the UK focused on India and the Middle East, while the rest of them have just sent all their forces to Egypt.

-I don't want to assume military control over anyone, but is there any way to get the AI to actually try anything in Europe? Usually when I play as anyone else, the allies will usually send in reinforcements once you land somewhere, but in this game, not only has there been absolutely no land forces sent, but an unusually low amount of air forces have bombed Europe as well.

whack Germany hard and fast. You should be able to take Berlin easily if most of their forces are in the SU. Then release the FRG to help you finish off the rest of the Germans and any soviets that get frisky. Japan never seems to be much of a threat to the US proper, and your navy should finish them.

Why is your army grinding to a halt in Europe? out of supplies? stiffening resistance? TC overload? My guess would be TC overload, but in this case you just have to power through it. You could ground non-essential units if necessary, but the sooner you get Germany done, the better off you will be.

Put the navy in port and ground the airforce as much as possible if TC is the problem . otherwise strike deep to Berlin and take out Germany as Ecnan said.
