Before I forget I would like to put forth the next BEST CHARACTER WRITER OF THE WEEK! WEEK! week! week.
Persephonee Fotheringay-Phipps (or 'Fungifips) by @Bullfilter from his Talking Turkey AAR. I know he has gotten this award for characters from Talking Turkey but think her character deserves a award all by itself. Her character comes across as smart and determined without being TOO modern.
Also, I like the fact that her appearance is that of Veronica Lake, of the peer-a-boo hairstyle, who was known for her roles in film Noirs. One of my favorites is "This Gun For Hire". I always found it sad that her career started to decline when she was still so young due to alcoholism.

Thanks once again to @Eurasia for the nomination and to all who offered congratulations. Time to pass this on now. I'm going to give this to someone who hasn't (as far as I can determine) received this award before and who has, during their comparatively new AAR Give 'Em the Ol' Basel Razzle-Dazzle - A Habsburg AAR, given us a range of interesting characters, along with much humour, many dastardly rulers and a brilliant animation that really slaps! Check out his AAR and give it a read: it started in mid-May and is now well-established but it's still only up to Page 6.
So, the Character Writer of the Week is @Green Rice - specifically for the current ruler King Simon II. Perhaps the nicest ruler yet, with an interesting love life. Even if he did hire a witch to deliver poisoned boiled lollies to the children of a rival dynasty, after two other murder plots failed due to drunken conspirators. All these plots failed, thankfully, and Simon swore off any further attempts - making him a paragon of virtue compared to most of his predecessors. This very low bar for likeability gives you an idea of how 'colourful' the Habsburgs in this story tend to be: you should check it out.
