Just a few "strange" things from my last game:
1. Aragon became quite big in the late 1400s... Castile was actually reduced to 3 provinces. Then Aragon diplo-annexed Scotland... At same time Spain revolted from Castile, but was killed quickly. Spain was never formed.
2. Later on Scotland revolted from Aragon and then it "inherited" all the British Islands except Anglia in the mid 1600s. By inherited I mean, that provinces revolted and joined to Scotland. England was reduced to a single province in Brittain!!
3. Bremen conquered 3 Egyptian provinces including Alexandria with its great CoT. More amazing was, that it was able to keep those provinces for more than 100 years, while they also converted them to protestantism!!
