Bessarabia Problem

The Soviets surrendered to my Germans on June 25, 1940. AFTER the surrender the Soviets demanded Bessarabia from the Romanians and they caved. That is ludicrous.

Now I need to fix this and give the provinces back to Romania. What's the best way to do this?

the most obvious way would be to use the console and give the provinces back manually. do you know how this works?

another way might be to load a savegame and to insert the flag that USSR has already asked for bessarabia (and thus should not do it again)

Thanks! I just figured out a way to do it. I thought about the console, but HOI3 wiki didn't have all of the province IDs. So what I did was open the saved game file and searched for CORE="ROM". The ones I found that had owner and controller = SOV, I changed. And it worked!

I'm getting ready to attack Romania, since they won't join the Axis, so hopefully this soon will be moot.

That, I didn't know. I knew how to change them in the console, but not how to find the province ID in the console.

Tdbg (tooltipdebug is the long version) also provides you with the supply throughputof a province. A very handy tool in Asia and Russia.
