I contacted the guys from HD Interactive who did the EU 1 release in the Netherlands. Asked them about the EU 2 release. Thy told me they had lots of problems (didn't mention what kind of problems) with the 1st release and weren't even sure if they would do the EU 2 release.

So what's up? Who's gonna do the Benelux release? Blackstar, meaning march 2002? Or another company and when?

Some answers please.

That says it all: :D

Europa Universalis II signed worldwide

International publisher Ubi Soft Entertainment has obtained all rights in Europe and South America excluding Scandinavia, Poland and Italy. The French market performance for the first game has convinced the company to broaden its territory for the sequel. Ubi Soft plans to release the game in Germany, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, France, Benelux, UK, Portugal and Brazil during Q1 2002.

Oh well thx, should have read the official announcements 1st before asking next time

That still leaves me with another question for the Benelux people: Where to order cheapest online? Lets exchange some info.

I've found Gamestop the cheapest untill now:
$39,99 + $15,99 shipping, 3-5 workdays delivery

Any date? I know this is too much when you have to work with Leader spa... I have many friends waiting for the Italian version...

On the Leader spa site there's no sign of EU2, even in the "coming up next" section...

Rolfski, you're in Amsterdam too? That's cool.. I have been thinking. There is this shop in the Kalverstraat which is called "The American Book Center", and I think they 'do' imports of American books, so maybe they do games too... I am going to call them tomorrow.

As for ordering online... do the shipping costs change when you buy multiple items? If not, there might be a solution for people who live close to each other (though trust is an issue here I admit).

TheF my man, that is an excellent idea. I know this shop too and they do sell games. I'm not sure if their games are parrallel imports though but it's sure worth trying.

I don't know about reducing shipping cost for multiple orders at Gamestop. Have to try that out.

What the f*ck?! It's almost the same distance...
It's kinda sick that I live in the country where the game developer is, but have to wait for 2 months or pay $25 extra...
