Got HOI from dynabite too. The best thing is that if you order it in the morning the mailman will bring it the next day.
I wouldn't mind to order the game from France or Germany if someone could confirm me it's in English.
Wouldn't count on it... FNAC is too mainstream for HOI or Victoria. Never found it there. Although they DID have EU II back in the days. (not EU I though)
I did see hoi in Dutch shops, IIRC. Not sure who published it, but I believe Free Record Shop was the one where I saw it.
You've seen HoI in Free Record Shop?! Weird, I looked in alot of FR shops in Amsterdam but no go.
Freerecordshop has/had eu2, Dynabyte has HOI. I haven't seen HOI at the FRS either.
The German version will have the option to install in English or German, but the manual will be only German.

Use the search field on the left to get to Vic. I'd post a direct link, but it seems the site stores private (i.e. ordering) info depending on from where you got to the link. Their shop accepts credit cards, and they have the 26th of November as release date.
On the other side FNAC is currently selling Galactic Civilizations. AFAIK that isn't such a mainstream game, so there might be a possibility they'd sell Victoria if it's published.
Empire Interactive recently released GalCiv for European release and it's now available in a lot of shops. Empire is a 'mainstream' publisher here so all there games are relatively easy to get...
Since I'm planning to visit a German City (Cologne, Aachen or Trier) for Christmas Markets and maybe get Victoria while being there. Could you find Victoria in the regular big shops or do i have to search for more specialized Computer shops.

Considering the fact that we sold LESS than 100 copies of EU2 in Belgium when we had a distributor there, not many publishers are extremely anxious the publish our games there.
oh dear, that is a real small amount
I wonder how many ordered their game from another country
could be quite large as EU2 was released here somewhere between 4 to 6 months after the first release in Skandinavia and States-side.
Add to that the existance of illegal copies and downloads and bang, there's your explanation.
But only 100? wow, that really a shock. (*Damn FPS-kiddies*)

I am still wondering whether to buy the German version the 26th or take a gamble and get it from abroad.
German Version
PROs: cheaper, guaranteed to be here the 26th, fat queen on cover
CONs: possibly later, possibly worse patch support, not sure if it will be available at many retail stores

PRO: Buy the german version in germany if you live there. We and our publishers get the same money, wherever you buy it, but you won't have to pay shipping costs, and can afford another beer or two
