1.) Become the hereditary religious head of all religions (that have religious head)
If you are of different religion, doesn't that pass away the religious head title to someone who actually is of that religion?

No. You get to keep them all. Isn't that nice?If you are of different religion, doesn't that pass away the religious head title to someone who actually is of that religion?
Ok, it's easily verifiable with the console command "give_title [id_of_the_titular_title] [your_id]".If you are of different religion, doesn't that pass away the religious head title to someone who actually is of that religion?
My current ruler is head of 5 reformed pagan religions. Him and everyone of his predecessors inherited all those religious head titles.Ok, it's easily verifiable with the console command "give_title [id_of_the_titular_title] [your_id]".
I will see.
My current ruler is head of 5 reformed pagan religions. Him and everyone of his predecessors inherited all those religious head titles.
And most of them just gave all those titles to a single dynasty member, usually his brother or son, so that they could easily change their religious often and invalidate those religious revolts resulted from mass pillaging.

Ok, but how then you usurp the Pope's title? I imagine that he always has to be in the game for the crusades and other mechanics to work. Or does this work only with reformed pagans?
OK, I now see that it's possible. Just don't see the point of it.
But I'm a bit surprised that it's possible and doesn't ruin anything, except the moral authority of my own religion, it seems.I think I recall one game, where I changed my religion while being First Vaidila to see if I can join another Warrior Lodge and my successor was no longer my primary heir but someone else. Maybe, my memory betrays me. I'm not sure.

Oh, I see someone already has accomplished this. It's the same method as with everything else. https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/usurping-the-papacy-d.604942/
But then it's actually nothing special. Conquer and usurp.
2.) how doea it ruin moral authority of your religion?
