I feel like the piety cost for assassinations leads to some counterintuitive consequences. It means that if you're sort of a scumbag, you can't murder people, because you need at least 50 piety to do an assassination. I can definitely see assassinating someone causing me to lose piety, but I can't see the reasoning behind a minimum piety requirement, like a hired killer won't work with me unless I'm a good enough Christian.
The piety cost has already been removed (for the next version ;)).

GAGA, you might want to have a look the the changes to murder plots made by Lambert Simnel. Maybe you could adopt and integrate it, with his permission. There are good ideas that you might use until you make your own plots and ambitions. ;)

No. But due to the removal of CORE and extansions, the mod size is now much smaller.

Is the "Full" mod the same as the "Core" plus all the extensions, or is there some stuff that is only in the "Full" mod?
Same as CORE + all extensions.

I think of it this way every time you do a killing their are some people who will think that you are behind it and word is going to reach people in the church so your trying to keep people quit by using some of your good points that you build up in piety :) to keep the church happy

Lets face it even in them times if some person wont around having people killed off you would have to pay the church off to keep them from calling you a killer and kicking you out of the church.

Aww, mod 1.4 isn't mod 1.3 savegame compatible it seems. It crashes on me when I click on my save (not load, just click).



Either way, this mod is awesome! I worked my way up to Duke of Mecklenburg from Count of Lubeck with the aid of a Prince of Denmark, mercenaries no longer a shortcut, but rather irritated at HRE gobbling up the pagans to the east of me / north of Poland, one ruler at a time. It was rather odd seeing Poland completely occupied by pagan for decades, and they did not lose a single province, hmm.

That's something I've seen quite a bit of in unmodded games, although it is usually the Scandinavians who are the victims. I think the cause is that the Pagan religious defence CB only gives a prestige/piety hit to the defender if the pagans win.

edit: have narrowed down the crash to one of the following 4 files: cb_types, event_modifiers, objectives, and/or static_modifiers. Reverting those files to 1.3b fixed my crashes.

One ambition is just named }_title


Liking the changes for the first time 1/3 of France got their independence and it is looking like even a few HRM members might get it to :)

Ah yes, event 995000. That one was supposed to capture random province characters if you take a castle, but it was not ironed out when I wanted to upload, so I removed it.
...at least that's what I thought.

I will upload a hotfix that removes the event entirely.

I have a request for you, eventually. Would it be possible to include an event or a set of events that enforce some sort of celibacy on Bishops and over, dissolves their current marriages, and stops them from having the ambition to marry?

I know it's not strictly historical, but I find it odd that when I grant a Bishopric the guy remains married nonetheless. To me, someone having a cleric education shouldn't have the ambition to marry, period. They should have the ambition to become court chaplain or bishops. They are preparing for priesthood.

And if they are asked to become court chaplain or bishop, they shouldn't be married and pressure should be made on them to renounce their marriage or risk heresy.

I have nothing against them having mistresses and bastards, though. ;)
