That seems to be an error caused by one of the filefront servers.

IMHO, the empires could be nerfed in the way that they would have limited Crown Authority levels.
Yes, I was also thinking of increasing the legalism requirement for crown laws within an empire. I guess that might help. :)

Does this mod stop the ludicrous amounts of assassination and ploting that occurs when you hold more than one king title? I've read the changelog but, it dosen't seem to address the issue :(

I have never seen excessive assassination or plot attempts by the AI.
However, assassins now cost 200 gold (and will increase target INT on failure for a while), so at least the first problem has been taken care of.

I've been playing your mod, and I have to say it's really great!

Started as Werner von Habsburg, and now I am the HRE. The new Holy War CB prevents some unrealistic conquests by the AI (i.e. France in Eastern Iberia, HRE in Siciyl...). The crusades seem far more important now, since many great powers jump at the chance to bash some infidels. Especially the HRE. However, once a crusade target has been successfully conquered, the crusading state can now declare Holy war on its neighours ;) I thinks thats part of how the HRE conquered the Middle East, half of the Arabic peninsula and Alexandria.

However, I am not sure if the measures against HRE raising crown authority too fast are enough. At around 1200 (I think) the emperor (still a Salian) managed to institute Absolute Crown Authority (!!!). I am not sure, but I think he achieved this by moving his capital to a technologically advanced province, Alexandria - thus satisfying the Legalism requirement. I managed to plot to lower it, but still. I believe this has to be tweaked somehow.

Iberia seem very well balanced, at first I saw Castille taking over the other christian kingdoms, and pushing the Moors back. Iberia formed, and I thought the reconquista would be completed. However, Mauretania managed to beat them back. It was a stalemate until the pope finally declared a crusade in the area, giving the HRE a foothold. Muslim presence is still strong there, though (it is 1290 now).
Britannia also formed from England, and only Scotland is not in the empire.
Scandinavia also formed, but there is also a strong independent Denmark and a weak independent Sweden.

As the HRE with high crown authority since 20 years (already on the second emperor) I have faced rebellion exactly ... once. The duchess of Alexandria, my cousin, rebelled. I have had absolutely no problems otherwise, everyone loves me. I see no reason why my heir should do any worse, since his traits are even more awesome than my current emperor (brave, just, crusader, several virtues...). Raising your sons yourself is the key to a stable empire, it seem ;)
Only the damn peasant rebels are very annoying. They are no challenge of course, but it is extremly tedious to quash them every few months. Not sure if I will continue this game. There are no real challenges anymore.

Again, great mod!

IMHO:
When a ruler dies and you either have king tier vassals or hold more king tier titles, they should rebel (minimally the people who desire the said titles).
When you get an infant king, it should be very likely that a rebellion appears. When you have an infant king AND hold more king tier titles/are an emperor, the civil war should be inevitable.
When a strong vassal revolts, there should be a chance of cascading effect thus creating a civil war.
When you get an infant king, the crown authority should be decreased to medium if higher.

Dang it.
Just finished scripting a "free vassal from prison" plot and now it turns out that the AI will not join it properly because I target the imprisoned character instead of the "host". T_T

I'm not sure if it's intentional, but the supply level in africa is extremly low.
At the same time the holdings develop rather quickly.
Later during my campaign ~1280 it became almost impossible to keep enough soldiers alive to maintain a siege and conquer more then a very few castles.

Probably a low terrain base supply - I will have a look at it.

And: I finally managed to get the "free prisoner" plot working!
It's crude and probably, not bug free and will need some balancing, but I was able to sneak out an imprisoned landed title holder from the dungeon of the french king. Yay.

Just have to setup the information events and some localisation and 1.5 is ready. :)

Interesting I'm thinking of starting this mod now, but if 1.5 is this close to being ready, is worth just waiting for that version? or will 1.4b to 1.5 be save game compatible?
