So, I decide to fire up the game as the Petty Kingdom of Wessex in an attempt to create the Kingdom of England. I am on my third generation character in the game. From then until now I've had 15 legitimate children. Of those 15 children 3 were boys. If my original character hadn't taken a second wife I wouldn't have had anyone to inherit past the first monarch. My current monarch has been keeping the Queen pregnant from the get go. So far he's fathered four children. All girls. The last two? Twins, because he just doesn't have enough daughters. Dang you CK II!!!! Dang you to a fiery hell!

Daughters are the best. Matrilineal marry your daughters to a bunch of different princes. Now kill everyone above your prince and watch as your grandchild becomes king.

Chasing some Republic achievements, starting as a count in Ireland (769 start, Duhblin).

First three generations of Chiefs all had 4-6 girls and a single son, while the other branch of my dynasty slowly died off. I was getting so desperate I took seduction, in the hopes of getting a bastard to legitimize. Got more girls that way. Took five generations before my dynasty was stable enough that I stopped going family/seduction.

Still worried about the plague killing off my Dynasty, which has ruined a few Republic games. Going to land as many as I can in the coming Crusades, as a backup.

Now, I'm up to 7 count them... 7 daughters! Aaaargh

Hehe, sounds like my current game. 3-4 daughters and one son per generation. I didn't mind, though, because I was running Gavelkind. That was fine, up until my crown prince goes and dies in battle while childless; his wife was pregnant at the time, though, so I saved and quit. The eldest daughter, by the way, is married normally and in another court that she fled to after converting to heresy and then eloping.
