Just gonna run you through a scenario.

Emperor of Hispania = Player Character
Owns the HRE, Northern Africa, the Byzantine Empire, the Empire of Britannia.
One random duchess across the Empire in the Byzantine Empire under my vassal, the King of Greece plots to kill the Emperor and succeeds.
Moving on from that, no big deal, then I die again. Same Duchess, okay I need to do something.
She's in hiding, I can't imprison her, even though I own half the known world and she is a lowly duchess.
I die again, she did it yet again even though she's in hiding and I can't do anything about it. I have to basically just ignore it because there is nothing I can do without being tyrannical and even if I do that, there's nothing I can do if she's in hiding???
Then she fucking kidnaps the Emperor of half the world from across the god damn world at which point I had to just take a step back and say I needed to reload an autosave.

I think the hiding might be broken and I think you might want to fix it.

Unpopularity is pretty unfair, no ? You should try to increase your character's diplomatic skill...
Just joking, you're naturally right. There isn't enough means of reacting to a plot
