What is this cultural division meant to represent anyway? Currently there are something like a dozen major Chinese "dialects" (languages, actually) but the beifanren/nanfanren divide seems to not really mean anything.
Because the Manchus took over China before the EU4 DLC that allows faster population conversion through colonization came out.Yeah, I feel it's mainly supposed to be a division for pops Qing accepts and ones it doesn't.
I have always wondered why the heck they started with Manchuria as their subject though, given how most of their primary pops are there.
