I meant to update this earlier, but I've had very little time to play over Xmas. Still, here's what the Kingdom of God has been up to recently:
The so-called "Holy" Roman Emperor was doing nothing to stem the tide of heresy spreading like a plague through northern Europe. Indeed, he seemed powerless to even stop the spread within his own lands. However the final straw came when his Holiness decided to force the Prince of Luxemburg back into the fold of the true faith. Not only did the Emperor fail to give aid to God's Kingdom, he actually dared to make war against it in defence of the Heretic! At that point God's will was made clear: The Holy Roman Empire must be dismantled and the Kingdom of God must take up the mantle of Defender of the true faith! The Purge of Heresy was expanded to include all the electors of the HRE, including two sadly misguided Catholics.
3 years later Bohemia lay prostate, many Protestant nations had returned to the true faith, and the title of Holy Roman Emperor was no more. However, when his Holyness moved to convert the Reformed nation of Alsace, the heretics of Poland claimed to shelter them as defender of their schismatic faith.
While there is still much work to be done, the apostates are in decline:
(A minor setback of the Second Great Purge, formerly Catholic Brabent fell to Protestant zelots, they shall be dealt with soon)
Further maps attached show the Kingdom of God in Europe and the Holy land. Note that, with the exception of the rump state of France, every French nation is a bishopric.

Same. Most of the time I spent was getting back to 0 infamy from 30. Due to no CBs.
Also, early on, I conquered Granada... and that was a bad, bad idea.

Yeah, the Papal states did that in my Venice game too, it didn't work out well then either.

They'll be back for my next big war though, which will either be The Third Great Purge (HUN-SWE-LIT) or a Crusade against the Ottoman Empire.I just hope he doesn't find out about my demon-infested coin.

The reformation was very successful in your game. (Until the Kingdom of God showed up, of course!) I was surprised by the number of Protestant provinces. Is a Reformation like this common in HttT?

The thing is, I didn't know that this Kingdom of God thing was new - I had never played the Papal States before. A number of crazy things happened in this game to let me blob this big so early; Castile falling to Granada, England being busy invading Norway and Sweden, France evaporating between Burgundy and me, etc.
I also own Cuba, Hispanola, and Connecticut.
The thing is, I didn't know that this Kingdom of God thing was new - I had never played the Papal States before. A number of crazy things happened in this game to let me blob this big so early; Castile falling to Granada, England being busy invading Norway and Sweden, France evaporating between Burgundy and me, etc.

I went a-crusading, but ending the eastern schism is good good idea too, I'll do that next!
I haven't really paid much attention to the reformation in other games, but as far as I know nothing has changed regarding it in HttT, I guess there were just frisky this time around.
And no, I'm not going to turn Protestant! Not that I can, but I wouldn't anyway

Well I don't care that no one is interested, I'll post this anyway!
Ukraine and Georgia are the only two remaining Orthodox nations, although UKR is my vassal and Georgia only remains Orthodox because a bug prevents the force convertion of theocracys and I was too lazy to edit them over myself.
Castille, Aragon and Britain are reformed/protestant, but I have driven them out of Europe (That's England on the isles, not GBR. Also Check out ARA in east Africa, they managed to get King of Gondor).
Pretty much every catholic in Europe is a theocracy too.
It's only 1767, but I long to start a new game as either TUR or DAN so I declare this game over. My income at the end was over 1700 per month and somethign like 2500 at the end of the year.
