Spain attacked one of south east Asian nations that is allied to my ally in India.

My ally that dragged me into this mess got out of war in 5 years, and I'm still stuck defending that south east Asian nation for nearly 3 decades.

My government type is horde. There is no way to end this war. Spain doesn't even attempt to transport troops to mainland, and it is blockading my ports so I can't attack them either. Russia set me as rivals so no MA(not that I can defeat Spain in 1677 with horde tech anyway) Spain attacked Majapahit to conquer it, but they don't want it after completely occupying it. None of my deals they are going to accept.

I can't even opt for white peace by stalemate because rebels keep liberating Majapahit provinces.

WTF am I supposed to do? Drag this on all the way upto 1820?

There should be a button with a "suggest peace terms" label- The AI will then give you a peace deal that it is content with. Worked for me as Venice, but I had to pay about 2500 gold to muscovy.

Look at the screenshot the OP has provided. That button is greyed out because he cannot offer anything the AI will be prepared to accept, even though he has a healthy treasury.

You can't end the war because your warscore is low enough that the AI thinks it's got you on the ropes. You need to bring your warscore up by winning some battles, or the war might never end.

It's a product of a badly thought out diplomatic system which was uneccessarily changed from EU2.
One of the results of which is neither antagonist can fight each other or end it.

It will end in 3 years and be called a "White Peace" if neither engages in combat.
So hold fast, keep the hundreds of trade ships in port (a pain I know, if you bother to build them) and forget about yet another spammy war the awful diplomatic AI has dragged you into.
Really, the Diplomatic AI of this version is the worst I've ever seen. Talk about forgetting everything they programmed in the original EU.

Failing that, the EU2 version is far more rewarding on all levels, and it includes well programmed AI on all levels.

Within this game, ignore the hundreds of "right of access" spams you get, pick a single Ally who has no common border and stick with them, better still, just ignore the AI, it's pure junk. Ally with Savoy or Denmark and you will be spammed with endless pointless wars especially. Who ever wrote the junk AI Diplo was drunk on a cup of tea.

I hope you are using the "Offer Tribute" screen when sending out peace offers (rather than the "Demand Tribute").

If you are not in ironman mode, use the console: type "winwars" which will get your WS to 100% and sign a white peace. I have no remorse cheating when faced an in-game loop.
Constant war is pretty good as a horde though, it keeps pretender revolts at bay :)

If you want to do it without cheating, the easiest way is to bring up the peace negotiation with the war leader and heap on the ducats. The game will probably say "Spain wants more than just gold", but if you offer enough ducats, they'll accept anyway.

You're sitting on 7k. That should be enough and then some, especially with such a long war.

Incidentally, it is possible to declare into alliances and buy the allies out, too, but due to "length of war" and "separate peace" it can be expensive. Still, the impact that can have on diplomacy is lulzy :).

This. The game won't allow you to use 'suggest offer' even if they would accept a large pile of gold.

Unfortunately, it's not enough for Spain. 7500 ducats are worth about 35% :(

Forced white peace is not working because rebels would keep liberate occupied province in south east asia. Moreover, Spain ships cycle through ports , changing warscore due to blockade all the time.

Finally, Russia and Ottoman Empire are blocking my MA to Europe and both have me as a rival. It's been 57 years (1708) but I'm still unable to end the war. 'long war' only gives +12 in negotiation, and it's no help.
