One day TRD you are going to play a game where you have the house rule you cannot declare war on anyone - and about five minutes later you'll have a nervous breakdown from the stress of enforced pacifism! ;)

Good fun as always.

Edit: And Grundius, be fair, he did almost finish the England one. ;)

All Hail great Wegies!

You really know how to loot.

Aye :D , I think it was Specialist 290 who asked me before about what speed I played on (extremely fast-even during war), anyway since then Ive reformed and now play normal/slow during war...and I find that it enables much more methodical looting to take place with more time to plan the exact routes to maximise output and avoid large enemy forces down to the day.

Just caught up with this one. Like always, it's a nice read, TRD! You did yourself a favor early on by not promising to finish this one :D.. allthough I hope you do finish it. Good luck! Btw I would like a view of the political map.

Cheers :) , yeah, no more promises, Ive decided I do it purely for my own enjoyment, if it gets abit boring - monotonous and it just doest do it for me...thats it, fin! ...political maps there

Enemy forces get down with the serious side of warfare…siege and dying on mass in Zeeland, while the Halogalandske cavalry regiment prepare to fill saddle bags, before moving on. (Note: Denmark in Mecklenburg).

March 3rd 1466, Helvetia together with her ally Palatinat declares war on Bohemia, the Wegie-Polish alliance holds strong (with relations still at a high at +200) and supports the Bohemian actions.

King Wegie begins to explain to his wife the importance of international relations: “I‘ve got a Pole in my pocket dear Johanna, dear Johanna, I’ve got a Pole in pocket dear Johanna, a POLE!

Queen Wegie: That’s the third time today dear Haavard, dear Haavard, That’s the third time today, dear Haavard, dear Haavard.

King Wegie: Huh??? What?

Queen Wegie: Never mind, I shall fix it dear Haavard, dear Haavard, I shall fix it dear Haavard, dear Haavard…I shall fix it.

King Wegie: Oh my dear Johanna, dear Johanna, oh my dear Johanna, dear Johanna…

Queen Wegie: Get to the point Haarvard! Problem with the Poles again?

King Wegie: Um no, perhaps later…but I digress…I was forced into taking this loan and have no way of repaying it, what shall I do?

Queen Wegie: Disposing of the lender a viable option?

King Wegie: Erm, no.

Queen Wegie: Well what are you waiting for? There open 24/7, 365 days a year, great merchandise available, wonderful access - just across the sea, friendly service, get off your backside and let’s go shopping! Mega Mall England beckons!

Well, you know, I drift in and out of insanity on a daily basis....past aars can pay tribute to it.

Is it just me who is amazed about how slowly the English and the Burgundians reacted unto the Norwegian invasion?

You aren't playing on the easiest level are you?

Good game anyhow and good luck! :)

Thanks :)

No, I am playing on very hard/furious...

I may not have played Norway before, but I have played Gelre many, many times and have attacked the Burgundy/English alliance every single time :D and have observed that...both are too preoccupied with the French and her vassals 95% of the time (other 5% England annex Gelre :D ). English troops appear to only get excited when London is beseiged (thus I dont beseige it until other provs are taken :D )....in this particular game (during the first invasion) the English didnt really get moving (in England) until York declared independence....then they started building troops like crazy... and after they annexed York, then they really began to come after Norway. Mind you, by this time much of the royal navy had been sunk and they could not mount much of an attack, just retake and defend the island.

Its gamey as hell, but I just cant resist hitting the Burgundians/English in the first few months no matter who I play (obviously only if Im in range and dont have anything better to be doing). They are so weak and ripe for the picking.

....................................................................................................

@ ALL - anyway Ive now played up to 1511, things havent been too shabby....but the thing is....Ive just read up on the Viking / Norsemen history (great stuff - and its started a little fire in me) and I really am considering starting again and writing something semi serious, still simple compared to most other works here in aar land (also start game again - as I always like to try better). No Wegies this time...The NORWEGIANS - the last of the Vikings...or something like that

...considering how much looting I do in game, I think the Norsemen are a good people to play....also I could probably make an event (well I will ask for help in the main forum) where Norway could cast Catholism away and embrace the way of the ancients and revert back to Paganism....what do you think?

btw - this game with Norway has been immense fun to play.
