I loaded a post-campaign save and was playing through flashpoints. After clearing 2 i decided to change my mech roster, something i hadn´t done since before the update.
I never had this issue before, but now, whenever i ready a mech from storage, it replaces a random one from the bay. And the replaced mech dissapear.

Steps to reproduce the issue
Ready any mech from storage. It replaces one already in the bay. The replaced mech dissapear.

The output log is in the default Steam directory, it'll be in this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data

Regarding the bug. By loading old saves, eventually i got one that didn´t reproduce the bug. Lost a flashpoint there... But at least i´m back in the game :)

I've had disappearing mechs too, but they always come back. Try moving a new mech to that slot where one 'disappeared' or try clicking on the empty bay, and the mech has ALWAYS come back for me. It makes me think it's just a graphical glitch and not a loss of the actual mech.

The replaced mech is always the same. The HGN-733P from storage always replaces the HGN-733P named "Iron Rain", regardless of which bay it is in. Cannot reproduce the bug with other mechs.

Log, Dxdiag, Save file in which the bug occurs. In the save, advancing time by a day for the mech to be ready will overwrite a highlander with another highlander.

Playing Career mode, when loading a mech from the storage, especially after swapming mechs around. The Mech that was selected on the bay when you make the order to load from storage gets deleted, completely.

So I got 2 big steel claw in storage cause I did a headshot during the arena battle so I got the 3 part salvage and got the other in the mission reward but after I put them in storage trying to get one ready it disappeared wont show up at the mech bay.

I would like to know whether this was ever looked into or resolved. I have the same issue a year later. Windows 10, I do have Season Pass and Flashpoint.

To be clear, it happens when returning a full mech from storage. NOT when 3 pieces of a mech are first completed.

Other details: it didn't happen until the second mech bay was opened on the Argo. My guess is it has something to do with that. The sequence of events is that I didn't have space for a salvaged mech in the first bay, so I had to put one in storage. Then I built the second bay and attempted to pull the new mech out of storage. At that point it overwrote an existing mech. I have tried it with several save files and with mechs in various bays.

I'm guessing the program is saving a mech object in some sort of data structure and getting something along the lines of an off-by-one. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. I can send a save file to anyone (dev) who cares to have it.

This is a big deal because, at least for me, building up the mech fleet is a big part of the game.

Bah, this just happened to me - pulled a new mech out of storage and it overwrote one of my good ones. Same scenario: it happened when I got my second bay. I didn't catch it right away and got to a new system and got ready to do a contract and realized my best mech was gone. :(

Ironman, sigh.
Ironman, I was able to fix this, sort of. Basically, if you have a very recent save, you can just go back to it. But suppose your most recent save ALREADY has the problem (which was my situation). OK, notice which mech is disappearing. Put THAT mech in storage too. Now it is safe. For me, this revealed the mech I was bringing out from storage "hiding" behind it (meaning the game was confused and was going to overwrite it). Let the action complete and make a save point. Do some other stuff like train a MechWarrior, buy something at the store, take a contract, whatever. Then come back to the bays and you should be able to restore the mech you just put in storage. You MIGHT need to make sure the very first mech in the vert first bay is selected when you do this (that one doesn't seem to get overwritten). At least this worked for me. It might work for you.

Yes, the devs read these. They just don't always have time to respond. The more info they have on this bug, the better their chances of finding and squashing it.

Good catch finding that it may be related to having the second mech bay.

Alright. I made a new error report instead of just tagging on to this one and I attached my save file with the action queued to happen in one day.
