Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The first thing i notice is the Opening Cinematic doesn't play. It immediately goes to the main menu after the logos. If I go to the option screen I can't back out once I'm in, I have to alt-F4. Also I included a picture of the options screen and the drop down menu opens, but all options are blank. I was able to play yesterday, but now it says I have no savegames and I get the infinite loading if I try to start a new career or campaign. I just got Heavy Metal a couple of days ago, but I was in a career that included it for about a day and a half before this issue started. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, and gone through Edmon's video for a clean uninstall. That had me delete my steam saves but at this point i don't even care, I will gladly start again as long as i can play!

If the game crashed, please attach the crash file with the time stamp closest to the crash.

Please attach the Dxdiag file and output log as requested in the report form.

DXDIAG.txt
DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Output_Log.txt

You may have to show 'hidden items' on the view tab of windows file explorer to find the output_log.txt

Sorry for not uploading the files with my original post. I let my frustration get the best of me. I don't know too much about the technical side of things but looking at the log it looks like a Steamworks issue. Not sure what has changed, I have over 100 hours played. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, the game thinks Steam is not running, no real idea why. Are you running the game from the Steam PLAY button, or elsewhere like a desktop shortcut?

I've run it from the desktop shortcut, I've run it from the Play button, I've run it from the .exe files in the game directory and it always ends up the same.

In Steam hit the Clear Download Cache button, then do a Steam Flush Config

Then run the game from the Steam PLAY button only.

If that doesn't help we may need to do a full clean reinstall of Steam and game, let us know here.
