Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When I load the game, some portions of text appear as gibberish. Working from memory, if I go to load a game, all of them appear to be gibberish as well. Loading one causes the game to subsequently crash.

Steps to reproduce the issue
Start game (gibberish appears, see attached image), load saved game, wait for crash following load screen.

Attach DxDiag (PC), System Info log (Mac), or run sudo lshw -html > specs.html and uploaded specs.html (Linux)

Attach Output Log
Windows: BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\output_log.txt
Mac OS: Users >{name} > Library > Logs > Unity > Player.log
Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Harebrained Schemes/BATTLETECH/Player.log


If the game crashed, please attach the crash file with the time stamp closest to the crash.

Here is the problem, I am sure:
Renderer: Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 (ID=0x5916)
The game has never been supported on Intel video systems on any OS, I'm afraid. I'm surprised it even starts for you, normally it crashes on load!

If you've just bought the game, please seek a refund from that vendor (GoG I assume).

Interesting... that has never been a problem in the past. I've completed 2 campaigns, have a career well under way, and finished the Flashpoint DLC twice and UW DLC once. Ugh if true... might need a personal gaming laptop then. I've been playing the game since it first came out (I was a KS backer).

Older Intels like the 5500 ran the game up to 1.04, but after that crashed. I guess that point has been reached with 1.6 and your 620.

Hopefully GoG have a way of reverting to 1.5.1, if so please try that!

I actually encountered the very same issue today, just after the game crashed (black screen after complete mission; waited around 20 minutes)

Same as with BTshooter, part of the text is unreadable. This is particularly true for Mechwarrior names, skills and Mechs. Most menu items work well though, keybindings, Steam login etc. do not.

I actually do not have a DumpBox folder... there is a CrashReporter and some older Dumps... not a new one. Maybe the game didn't crash today, just took way too long.

I tried to update my drivers, running latest NVIDIA now. While the minimum required should be the 560Ti, I do at least have the "next gen" :) From KS beta until today, everything worked fine and I did not see any updates being installed.

If not I think it's time for a clean reinstall:

Oh sorry. I just copied the text from BTshooter :) My main menu screen shows the same behaviour as shown on his screenshot though.

I might have missed that somehow... but will check. The game itself shows 1.6.2, but as I could play the game without issues right before the "crash", I guess that can't be the cause of my issues. Despite my lack of free time I will try the verify and possibly a reinstall... :-|
