One line summary of your issue
Still crashes after update driver and game

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
What happens:
- Screen goes black and computer freezes
- Does not happen always but when it does I'm normally in a mission
- It has been doing this since I have the game which has meant a lot of replaying missions
- This has been reported before and the comment was that this would be solved in an upgrade.

Today I've downloaded BATTLETECH-1.0.4-280D from humble and used it to update the game. I also upgraded the Nvidia graphic driver yesterday to 397.93. I'm using a Geforce GTX 980Ti on a Windows 10 pro + AMD FX 8350.

I'm currently in the quest missions with the mineral containers and in the last few attempts the computer crashes just when I go into combat. The computer seems to crash more often than before.

I can not find any log files (anybody know where those are stored?) nor anything in the eventviewer.

Steps to reproduce the issue
Start the game and play a mission. It may or may not freeze the computer.

Backup your saves - delete the entire game and reinstall - ensure the folder is deleted. Does this help? I run a 1080TI and although I haven't had this issue - I have had countless others like campaign deletion etc. fixed it each time.

Thanks for the suggestion but that has not worked. I just did a clean install of the program and replaced the safe file. The computer goes down pretty much at the same moment as before in the game.

Edit: I just finished the mission by turning off all the automatic zoom and setting the video detail level to low. Graphic heavy things seem to make the computer crash.

Please attach here the game log (depending on which game version you have):

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Thanks. I still have the savefile of the gamepoint just prior to crashing. When I have the time I will replay that bit with graphics on max and on min so the log files can be compared.
