You can use Industrial Mechs if you want. I'll stick to Battlemechs.
Preload will be be available on Steam for pre-orders and all Backers!
Seeing as how that's not possible, I would imagine not.
Lock and load your AC weapons and watch your lane!
Nothing is there yet on GOG, no game or deluxe edition goodies or code. GOG has not verified how they will be handling it and has not responded to requests about this or preloading. There is a thread or two over on GOG forums about this issue.Check your GOG account? Maybe it's there already? (Not sure, I haven't used it for any Paradox games.) If not, then yeah, you'll have to wait a while, but a code should show up there sometime so you can verify your purchase to Paradox (and thus get BattleTech avatars.)
Are you sure that GMG is even an authorized seller of Paradox games? It is possible that GMG is getting their keys from authorized distributors and not directly from Paradox, which would explain why they don't get them till release day.Time to hope Paradox/HBS gives keys to GMG pre-orders so we can get it in time. In the past Paradox has gone full monkey and not given out keys until release time

I've done pre-orders through GMG before, as I did this time, and I wouldn't hold my breath. We'll be lucky to get our keys at the official launch time. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a 12-hour delay or more.Time to hope Paradox/HBS gives keys to GMG pre-orders so we can get it in time. I upgraded to GB internet yesterday...

I'm...not sure it's not possible. I vaguely recall that they did a preload for the Witcher 3, a bit back (aaand yeah. Google confirms). That said, I've heard nothing about a preload, so... I'm guessing I'll drive back home on my lunch break and kick things off. The rest of Tuesday will be torment.![]()
Oh right, I keep forgetting about Galaxy and how it allows for Steam-like antics. I haven't used GoG much since they re-branded away from their original mission.it is possible, GoG has done it before.
Well, some streamers get they key from GoG so in a one way or another GoG MUST get access to the game (first beta build and now game build). I am not 100% sure but I have a feeling that authorized distributors can not give GoG came code to put they servers and then give code for some streamers.
Don't take this the wrong way but um, I think I dislike you just a little bit right now.
I've been waiting for GB internet here FOREVER. I mean, my connection is nothing to sneeze at now but FASTER FASTER FASTER!!!!!! is always good.
But they keep on saying "soon" and can't give me a definite time frame.

While its nice to have GB internet note that for steam downloads, whether you can download at that speed depends on a ton of factors.
1) Note that theoretically steam can obliterate even GB connections without breaking a sweat. ! have GB and have seen it
2) But on a side note, all of game downloads are compressed on steam. This means that my download speed is not actually limited by the bandwidth, but by CPU and IO. Aka its limited by my computer's ability to decompress and combine the 'chunks' of data that steam sends to me.
Thus I have seen
1) Game A will download at 800mbps
2) Game B will download at 200mbps and I will see near 80% CPU or 100% Disk IO usage
For steam downloads it can use up all of GB connection, but that depends on a ton of factors.
Copy that.
But being able to say I have a GB connection is much nerd street cred.![]()
Eh don't disagree on that front. For me it was mostly a cost thing. It was basically identical cost to 'upgrade' from 300mbps to 1gbps. So it was kind of a no brainer even if I had to fork out a bunch of money for a cable modem.
Same here.
At last check, the GB connection was/is going to be the same price as my 300 mbps connection so I want to do it before they increase the price point.
But as I said, the availability in my area is still "pending".
You can still use your cable modem? They're going to have to drill into the side of my house and install some kinda gizmo. I'm assuming it's a fiber connection instead of a the coax one . . .
