One line summary of your issue
Salvage Bug? Please Advise

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Got to the end of an early game mission today and had weird salvage results - this is the second time I have seen this but sadly I did not get evidence of the former.
I was fielding the starting units (Spider, Locust, Shadowhawk and Vindicator) and lost my Locust to a lucky shot in the rear arc that detonated the ammo. This was the only significant damage I took.
During the battle, I destroyed an enemy Shadowhawk and an enemy Locust. The mission ended immediately on the death of the Shadowhawk, so I could not confirm full details of how it was destroyed.

In the post mission debrief - I had opted for 1 priority salvage and 4 total and somehow ended up with 6 salvage? I chose the Shadowhawk piece and then clicked confirm and the screenshot link below shows what happens...

I posted this on Steam and was sent in the direction of these forums for further advice...is it a bug? Is it not? Is the extra salvage related to the death of my Locust?

I am playing it on Ironman with core destruction, unequipped mechs and 5-part salvage to build new mechs enabled.

Steps to reproduce the issue
I haven't taken steps beyond this point to reproduce - but I will play some more soon to see if it happens again - the only difference i've seen between this and other levels is the fact that I lost one of my mechs...could that be it?

Similar issue, similar situation. Mission was with 2 enemy Atlas, both cored, HGN-733 and AWS-8T cored, too, so 1 piece of salvage each. Myself I lost an AWS-8Q.
Picked both AS7-D parts, 1 AWS-8T part, 1 HGN-733 part.
ALL picked parts including the HGN which is not visible on the screenshot got somehow duplicated, and judging from the number of total salvage a few of the randoms, too.

I have no idea how to reproduce, maybe lose a mech to being cored?

The only mod I have installed is for Lostech to rarely appear in some shops + BTML, Modtek and Store Tag Enabler as prerequisites for it.

Edit: Money seems to be too much, too, but I don't remember the exact amount that was agreed upon, but definitely max a little more than half of that, like 430k maybe. but I think it was even less because I chose max salvage.

E2: It seems to be a display only bug, because I got the correct amount of mech parts awarded to storage.

I've just run across the same issue.

An Ironman campaign, with the following mods added: Real Hit Chance, Advanced LosTech Recurrence, and Store Tag Enabler.
The mission was on Herotitus, 'Forward Observers' @ 2.5 skulls. My mechs were the BJ-1, VND-1R, and modified CN9-A & SHD-2H.

The second file shows 6 pieces of WVR-6R salvage. The OpFor was made up of 2 VND-1Rs, and 1 KTO-18, SHD-2D, WVR-6R, & CN9-A. Only a VND-1R was destroyed by head shot, all others CT destructions.

I only received the one WVR-6R actually destroyed, so the issue seems to be a display one.

*UPDATE*

The bug just popped up again, in Liberation: Panzyr.

Duplication of 3 pieces of a DRG-1N, 1 piece of a TBT-5N, and a random salvage piece (either SRM6 or SRM ammo). Both mechs in question were cored by NPC towers.

I had this same issue. It does seem to be related to losing a mech and it seems to only be a display bug.

I lost a Firestarter during the mission (RIP Dekker).
The only enemy mech was a Shadow Hawk and it was cored (1 piece of salvage available).
The salvage available was displayed correctly.
I selected the SHD-2H piece and an AC/20.
When I confirmed my salvage selection, it showed me getting two SHD-2H pieces and a total of 15 pieces of salvage (when the mission total was 8).
Going back to the mech bay, it showed that I received one piece of SHD-2H, not two.

EDIT: I am running the beta through GOG (version 1.2.1-347R)
I am not running any mods, but I do have permanent mech destruction enabled.
