Reordering mechs + activating mothballed mech = a mech being DELETED

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
(I have only 1 pod's worth of bays (I.e. 6)).
1. Deactivated bay 6 mech to make 1 open space.
2. Begin activation of new mech.
3. Rearrange mechs so bay #2 is open and rest are full.
4. Advance 1 day.
Result:
New mech doesn't go into the open bay #2 but instead OVERWRITES the mech I had moved into bay #6. Bay#2 is still open. Mech that was in Bay#6 yesterday is GONE along with all its components!
