One line summary of your issue
Mouse Lock Issue

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I have a 4:3 aspect ratio monitor, so when I play Battletech I have black bars top and bottom.

When the game was released and I would first launch it, the mouse would stay limited to the area of the screen used by the game, ie it would not move into the area of the black bars. If I minimized the game however, when I borught it back up the mouse movement would no longer be limited. This causes issues with edge scrolling in combat when you want to scroll up or down. Of course the easy fix for this was to never minimize the game.

With patch 1.1 this behaviour has changed. Now when I first load the game, the mouse is not restricted to the game screen. I enabled Mouse Lock in the options but still the mouse moves onto the black bars. Strangely enough I have found that if I minimize the game and bring it back up, the mouse will then be properly limited to the game's screen.

So its now the complete opposite of what it was doing before. Whereas before I had to make sure not to minimize, I now have to do so every time I play to ensure the cursor stays in the boundaries of the game window.

Hoping this can be tweaked so it limits the mouse properly all the time.

DW

Steps to reproduce the issue
Use a 4:3 aspect ratio monitor.

Load the game and note the cursor moves freely into the black bars top and bottom.

Enable Mouse Lock in the game options.

Minimize the game and bring it back up and note the cursor is now locked to the area used by the game.

I saw this in the patch notes for 1.1.2 :

Fixed an issue where the "Lock Cursor" game setting did not get applied until the user alt-tabbed or relaunched the title.

After testing it, the game still does not lock the cursor when first launching the game for me. It still requires either mininizing the game or going into the settings to the Controls page and hitting Save.

I tried deleting the Balletech.exe and verifying the game in Steam to ensure it was all patched up, the problem remains.
