One line summary of your issue
Lag spikes and screen freezes during action cam

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
In-mission, campaign mode, fullscreen. Windows 7. Updating NVIDIA driver did not fix the issue. EDIT: disabled action cam, but both the lag spikes and the screen freeze still occur.

When the "action cam" activates (for either player or AI), the game will usually freeze for a moment either just at the start or near the end of the animation (just before/during weapons fire or when reaching the move destination). When the freeze clears, animations that would have been shown in that time are skipped, but otherwise there is no obvious lasting effect...

Except sometimes, the screen will no longer update. The game will still play as if nothing happened, and you can still hear both the AI's actions and the UI's audio feedback for mousing over or clicking a button, but only the image from. After alt-tabbing to desktop then back, the screen will show the desktop. EDIT: There is a small box in the upper-left corner of the screen with the text "BATTLETECH". Also, the custom cursor is visible.

The screen freeze occasionally happens during an action without showing an action cam; it is possible I was merely unable to see the action cam due to the screen being frozen.

Steps to reproduce the issue
Play a mission in campaign as normal.

I have the same issue. Need to Alt F4 to quit the game and restart. It happens randomly during missions and out of missions. Doesn't throw up an error window. So not sure if it produces a log for this issue.

I have similar issues, but have half a fix for you, although you may have to restart the game every 3-4 hours.

If you have 16gb RAM set your windows page file size to 'no page file'. If you have 8gb or less set the page file size to something way overkill ike 20,000 mb. You can change it back if you need the hdd space later. Setting it to no page file can result in client crashes if you have insufficent RAM when loading a battle, thankfully it autosaves just before there.

The problem appears to be the page file getting full and cleaned out constantly by Unity, to the point the game starts choking and skipping.

Disabling the page file definitely helped. There are still occasional lag spikes, but they are far less frequent than before. However, I got the screen freeze again in the first priority mission, right when I was about to move into the objective area after destroying the radar towers. I restarted my computer, and got it again in the same place as before.

I hope there is a patch soon, as for me the game is still unplayable.

The now-main relased 1.01 takes care of most of it, they've improved the whole garbage collection issues they were having.

Beta 1.02 is out and refines it yet more, not put in the hours yet to be certain but I'm hopeful it'll elimate the last of the slow loading screens after a couple hours play.

I tried increasing the page file to 20 000 mb, but it still screen freezes. :(
