Game crashes on startup

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I downloaded game on GOG. First time I launched it I got as far as the select nickname/banner/color screen with the Mech on it. I then tried to start the campaign and the game crashed.

I then tried relaunching the game and it doesn't get past the loading screen when I try to select a new campaign.

Steps to reproduce the issue
I try launching the game and it happens everytime I get to loading the campaign.

I tried rebooting and I updated my Nvidia drivers to 398.82

Try unloading the Nikon utility ViewNX2. If that doesn't help you may need to fully uninstall it with the free Revo Uninstaller utility.

That worked. I uninstalled the Nikon ViewNX2 software using Revo and the game runs fine.
