Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
There's an intermittent bug that forces my graphics card to reset, which leaves BATTLETECH as a black screen until I switch tot he Windows start menu and terminate the game. The issue seems to come up on Tundra maps, but exactly when it comes up varies.
Have you tried verifying your files?
No
Steps to reproduce the issue
The bug isn't 100% predictable, but the attached file is close. Jumping the ANH-1A in the screenshot towards the cliff then firing the Gauss and AC/5s at the Thunderbolt (on the top left of the screenshot) reliably crashes my graphics card just as the firing animation starts.
Jumping and firing only the AC/5s works, but then my card crashes shortly afterwards when the screen pans to the location of a dropship landing.
Standing still and firing Gauss and AC/5s also works, but likewise crashes during the dropship warning.
Sprinting the ANH-1A allows the dropship warning to trigger without crashing. I can click through the various dialog boxes, but then my graphics card crashes when the game pans back to an active unit at the start of the next turn. This time, BATTLETECH also crashed after the screen went black (see the second screenshot with both the game crash and my graphics crash alerts).
I was unable to locate a crash report since I don't have a Steam installation path.
