I just created a new account today and got my redeem code from backerkit, and entered it into https://accounts.paradoxplaza.com/redeem and it seemed to work fine, but it didn't add my game nor did it grant me access to valhalla forums. What gives?

Also, there should be some kind of step-by-step tutorial already posted somewhere on the forums; if there is, you need to make it more obvious, and if it isn't, shame on y'all for not trying to make the influx of new users a little more friendly...

You can go and check the BATTLETECH forum.

HBS will update backers Battletech Backerkit accounts shortly before the full game releases in April with codes for GoG, Steam, and Humble.

There will be another Kickstarter Update around that time with more information and instructions.

This includes "Late Reinforcement Backers"

This doesn't include "Pre-Orders" directly from Steam, GoG or Humble. Only Kickstarter Backers who pledged on Kickstarter and Late Reinforcement Backers who pledged through Backerkit.

Additionally, Backers can now find a forum-code for the Paradox Battletech forum in our Backerkit accounts which will identify us as Battletech Backers and give us our appropriate forum badges and such.

After entering your PDX forum code from Backerkit in Paradox's "Register a Game" window, you might have to log out and log back in. I had to to be able to see Battletech in the avatar dropdown selector.

Then you can go to your Profile settings and change your avatar. There will be a dropdown and Battletech should show up at the bottom of the list. Select it, then click "get Avatars" and choose the one you want to use

You can check "Owned Items" in your forum profile.

You should see your battetech.

Hey, Commander - any suggestions if following the instructions you gave doesn't work? Like NullVoid I've redeemed my code (I actually logged out and back in and tried it again to make sure it was redeemed - it was) and Battletech doesn't show up in Owned Games, nor in avatar options.

Sometimes, synching owneditems takes a little time, especially if a lot of people are doing it in a short span of time.

I see an icon under your name, so you should now have the avatars available.

Oh, sweet, I see what you mean.

There's a thought, though. When you sync, it says it can take up to an hour, but when I did it, it looked like it was done straight away. That could be clarified a bit better.

It's not looking like your backer badge has updated on your profile. So, let's go through the process to see if any step was missed?

You logged into backerkit, and found your PDX forum code (not the orginal forum code for HBS's forum)?

You copied it, and then went to "Register a Game" at the top of the forum. (Your link appeared to be correct).

Then entered the PDX forum code you got from Backerkit and clicked or tapped the REDEEM button. Correct?

What happens when you do that now? Do you get a message? (If it's already been input correctly, you should get a message).
