Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Occasionally, after setting my finances at a monthly report, but before the next monthly report, my finance level will change to a value other than what I originally selected, with no apparent cause nor any kind of feedback or notification.
This has been difficult to capture/reproduce, but having just experienced the most egregious event of this type that I've seen, I'm going to do my best here.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Unknown reproduction steps, but note other reports from users in the past:

In my most recent experience, I set the finances to "Normal" at my monthly report. 9 in-game days later (11 minutes later real-time), having completed travel, I did some last minute mech adjustments and a manual save before playing a mission. After the mission I noticed that my finances were set to "Spartan" instead of the "Normal" that I had selected at monthly report. I saved the game as a precaution, and went back to investigate the pre-and-post mission saves, which were both also "Spartan". But the manual save I performed just 62 seconds real time before the pre-mission auto save has the finances set to "Generous"! Screenshot of my "Load game" screen with annotations attached, along with the indicated save files.
58195d18-6569-4a80-ae34-a60bd0d47136.sav is the auto save from when the monthly report happened. I selected "Normal" at the monthly report, and loading this save reflects that choice.
94a4e3f1-a2af-48a4-a50c-880ddbd62a3a.sav is my manual pre-mission save, the only actions I remember taking between the monthly report and this save were some unremarkable travel, changing a mech loadout, and possibly spending some experience points on a few of my pilots. But the finances changed to Generous.
23afb048-2131-4af9-94b5-5404f72eb8f8.sav is the pre-mission auto save, I don't remember taking ANY user actions between my manual save and this one, aside from accepting the contract, but if loaded this save reflects a finance level of Spartan.
Other possibly relevant information: During this sequence of events, I don't think I exited the game or loaded any savegames between the monthly report and the included pre-mission auto save. It was all a single session.
Also worth mentioning, is that I do not seem to have gained morale when my finances switched to Generous, nor lost morale when it switched to Spartan.
I am enthusiastic about killing this bug, so if any further information or testing would be of use, please make requests! I'm going to attempt re-playing the same events from the monthly report onwards to see if this is reliably reproducible.
