Start installation process and it failed with dialog box showing location of debug file.

Attach DxDiag (PC), System Info log (Mac), or run sudo lshw -html > specs.html and uploaded specs.html (Linux)

If the game crashed, please attach the crash file with the time stamp closest to the crash.

I'm afraid I know nothing whatever about Humble's installation process. That .log doesn't appear to show any problem.

Only they could read that .xml file ... sorry about this but I think you'll have to contact them on this problem.

The Humble offline installer uses a tool called InstallBuilder, that's their log files attached. I'll send the XML log on to them and see if they can parse why it failed.

Have you ever been able to install the game on this machine using previous versions of the installer?

Looks like the installer is corrupted. Make sure the MD5 checksums match and try re-downloading it from Humble if anything doesn't check out. I downloaded it from Humble just now and got it working with these checksums:
