The gfx stuck. I saw some fragments. Seems the game was still running.

One of those logs shows a crash and one doesn't. I'm not sure which one happened just before this issue you had?

In any case the crash stack for that one lists this process:
C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner Statistics Server\RTSSHooks64.dll
which should not be in the game's crash stack! Please unload or kill this process before running the game, see if that helps.

Aside from that i see dxdiag hates your nVidia sound driver, which is used for vice playback apparently. Why it is not updated with your nVidia video driver I don't know, but see if you can get that updated to a supported version.

Sorry, I was confused by the upload Dialog. The website references the file Windows: BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\output_log.txt . The website says its mandatory. That’s the file without the crash. I have no idea why it was requested.

Same for the crash file Location: Windows: [Steam library folder]\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\DumpBox

In my Installation I do not have this Folder. There are Folders named with date and time containing the crash Reports. Maybe something had changed in the past. It is quite confusing the first time to identify what is “really” mandatory and where all the files are located.

However, I will try the game later and I will kill the Process you mentioned before launching the game.

If this is solving my problem this would be great. I will report back later this evening

hmm now I'm not able to Play a single Minute. The game freezes as soon as it has loaded the campaign. But it doesn't crash. The UI just freezes, I still can move the mouse and I hear all the sounds but the gfx stays frozen.
I also removed the gfx Drivers with DDU and reinstalled them all.

Any ideas?

No crash in that log, but these errors:
A script behaviour (probably VersionTrackingBreadcrumb?) has a different serialization layout when loading. (Read 48 bytes but expected 112 bytes)
which indicate a corrupted installation (although weirdly we've seen about 3 reports of this in the last day or two ...) . Run a Steam Verify operation against the game.

This strange. I already led steam checking the files and I did it again this morning, but steam could not find any damaged files.
I have no idea how this steam file check works but if there are corrupted files it should see them.
However, I can completely remove the game and reload it fresh from steam if this might help.
But what About my save games? ;) I would like to be sure that I do not Need to start over again.
Any other advices?

I don't think it's related to some files. I was able now to play several hours without any crash. I tried something I did during the first week with my new gfx card. It’s a GTX 2080ti from Palit. It’s the OC edition. This means that the boost clock is by default 30mhz higher than the default. I had several problems with BF5 or Tombraider but they both crashed the driver, so I had something in the event log. But during this time, I had no problems with Battletech. I also could run these games forever when I turned off the RTX – DSSL Features. I read allot about timing and all things. So, I installed the msi afterburner (this is where the RTSSHooks64.dll comes into play). I downclocked the main bus with 30mhz to have the max boost clock at the same rate as the nvidia specs or the regular palit edition. With these settings I was able to play all the games without any issue.

After some new Patches for the games and after some nvidia driver updates I’m now able to play all the games with the stock OC setting + RTX and DSSL and everything set up ultra with a constant rate of 60fps. So, no problem anymore.

I tried now again to underclock the card and it worked for Battletech this time as well ;)

I think here is the problem somewhere ;) for me I can deal with it and I will create a separate profile for battletech. I will try with later driver releases. It’s a bit curious because I never had a problem with Battletech but I think nvidia is still playing around with their drivers for the new cards.

If you are interested, I can do some other tests for you to pinpoint the problem. Maybe someone else has similar problems. If it’s just me, never mind.
