Game crashed after pressing the begin mission button

Steps to reproduce the issue
The crashes appear pretty random. Not able to reliably reproduce exactly, but crashes occur fairly often

get Oops message that game crashed.

I am doing the first story mission after becoming commander where you fight the pirates in a downed dropship. I get to the drop ship where it give me the objective to fight through 7 hostiles, I defeat the 3 light mechs and the two tanks that first show up, then there is a round where I am out of combat where I can reorganize I guess, but after I move my mechs and end that round the game crashes. It has done this three times. I saved right before it the third time so I don't start from the beginning again.
