One line summary of your issue
Computer lock up, Steam now thinks BT isn't installed
What platform are you running the game on?
Steam
What operating system do you use?
Windows 10
Which version of the game are you running?
1.6.1
What DLC do you have installed?
Flashpoint,
Urban Warfare,
Shadowhawk Pack
Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I had just selected mechs for a mission, and after hitting "begin" my graphics shut off leaving just the mouse pointer and Windows' spinning busy indicator. After several minutes of this, I powered off the computer. After restarting and trying to run BATTLETECH, Steam shows it as needing to install. All the files and directories seem to be intact on my hard drive. I can't try to verify local files because Steam doesn't seem to think there are any.
Have you tried verifying your files?
No
