Commander Portrait changed mid campaign

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
My commander portrait, as well as one of my randomly generated hired mechwarriors (they somehow managed have same exact portrait) would randomly change to another portrait. The mini picture in the barracks roster is the original but when you get the blown up version when the MW is selected for skill training it turns into the glitched one, happens to both of the MWs.

Steps to reproduce the issue
Both times happened after the 126 day mark right after i complete a coupla missions after Liberation: Panzyr and after my commander gets wounded (as u can see from the pic). Was able to reproduce it once, but dont want to waste more hours trying to reproduce it again to be recorded. I've already wasted about 6 game hours playing through the game hoping the graphical glitch would go away, but it wont.

Started playing again from before i bugged out. Played 4 missions so far, main difference is that my commander didnt eat a wound yet. I've a sneaking suspicion that the bug occurs when the commander takes a wound. Will update if my suspicion is correct.

Hmm. I know the second portrait is a 'new' one since the 1.0.3 patch. And considering there was a recruitable pilot with the exact same face, I'm assuming you just picked one of the pregen portraits, and didn't fiddle with any sliders yourself?

Sounds like something went wrong with internal ID for pregen portraits. Odd that it would pop up mid-game, and not directly when the patch applied. Huh.
Save files from before/after the portrait switch could be useful to the devs, perhaps.
