Well CGL is a very small company with a fairly small budget and to keep books constantly shelved is a challenge.

Trust me, I'm aware of at least some of the particulars. It's one reason I do suggest digital copies, through Drive Thru RPG, and printing them out yourself if you need a hard copy
(It's only marginally less expensive than the book to get it done - unless you want the book binding instead of other types of collation.)
That is a very good point so you had any issues taking in books as PDF to location to have them printed?

I had my Alpha Strike book printed at a FedEx/Kinko's storefront when I bought the PDF. Watermarked PDFs from the site I mentioned don't seem to be an issue, but printing it was very much a "set the job, then pick it up in a couple days" sort of arrangement.
They're not really legendary, there's no Awesome Dragon.

I rather like that one planned option to shave down shipping costs is to trade in the backer reward neoprene map and map case for a refund - I don't own any of the other battlemats, so having only one with a case doesn't make much sense for me.

See, I'm going to wind up wanting the map case for my Chessex mat I use already. Something to keep it safe is a good call for me. And the mat which is included being the arena for a Grand Melee means I'll most likely get some use out of it.
Now my question in the back of my head, is there some codified honor rules going into this return to the Clans?
I'll be doing the same. I don't have any of the other neoprene maps and there are enough other people in my gaming group getting that map (some of them getting two copies) that I don't feel the need to have my own copy. I can put that money towards books or more mechs. Depending on how the Destiny beta is, I may end up getting the RPG rules.
@Kereminde I am sure there will be some form of honor rules. It will just depend on how specific and how rigid they try to make them.
Has anyone heard anything from HBS or Catalyst Game Labs if they are sharing the digital renders of the mechs with HBS. I'm not sure if they can even use them and I know they have used the MWO models but HBS has already used a large part of the MWO model range for succession war era.

HBS has created one mech model in house - Hatchetman _ all others have been PGI's from MWO that they have recieved for free ( HBS gave their Vehicle models to PGI for use in MW5) I have heard nothing about using any Catalyst designs - there was a discussion awhile ago about using CG model for Warhammer instead of PGI ( I personally like the CG model ) but HBS stated fairly strongly they would be using the PGI design
