So I've been brainstorming this for a bit. It is a Battletech game like this one, but instead of a mercenary company (which can still be played as an option), the players play as one of the invading Clans. Now this runs into an obvious problem of how does the Clan economy work. Well I remember listening to my friends Deathwatch Tabletop RPG Game and they were talking about requisition ponits to buy equipment as Space Marines. So players will like wise have requisition points from which they buy equipment from Mechs, to equipment mechs, weapons, and pilots. Another problem will be salvage as Clan Equipment is superior to any Inner Sphere Equipment at the time of the invasion. However we can replace the Salvage and C-Bill trade off by instead engaging in the Clan system of bidding. Perhaps there is a recommended tonnage or maximum tonnage. Anything under this tonnage nets more requisition points encouraging players to cut close the line of victory just as the Clans do when they bid against each other during the invasion. I'm not certain how to get clan Trials in here yet. But pehaps give them players a chance to earn a Bloodname or any other appropriate circumstance that would warrant a trial to include scripted stories that we already have in Flashpoints that players can choose to engage in if they so wish. Especially the Battle of Tukkayid which is just one giant Trial of Refusal along with The Great Refusal.
